Modern Day American, an organization dedicated to electing independent millennials and Gen Z representatives, is actively seeking dynamic individuals to join our leadership team and build the foundation of our movement.

Director of Legislative Strategy:

Responsibilities:

• Recruit elected representatives to align with the Modern Day American Platform.

• Draft legislation to address critical issues, such as term limits, banning stock trading for Congress, and eliminating gerrymandering.

• Strategically engage with legislators and advocate for policy changes.

Goals:

• 2024: 10% of Congress to be acknowledged members 

• Legislative action taken on bills that resonate with our mission

Preferred Qualifications:

• Legislative or policy development experience.

• Knowledge of political processes and networks.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

We are also looking for scrappy people who want to work in politics but have not had the background. As a movement we want to invest in people who want to invest in our future.

This is a volunteer position for people who are looking to dedicate some time and initiative to break the two party duopoly. Stipend opportunities are available in the future with funding.
